Solar Collector
Besides the main design subject we also have the more technical focussed subjects
like materials engineering and engineering physics.
In the third semester of materials engineering we were asked to design and construct
the frame of a solar collector. The solar collector is being developed by the schools research institute.
With the collector part as the component to design around me and a classmate started developing the
frame. It had to be simple to make, so not too complex, fairly cheap and able to connect on different rooftops.
After making use of smart construction shapes and keeping the design simple, we ended up with this clean but yet very efficient design. Task completed!
