NOMAD Family Tent
As the third semester started we got a new, more serious assignment.
Dutch outdoor company NOMAD asked us to design a new innovative family tent
with the emphasis on the tent growing as the family grows.
My team started with a analysis of the target audience and began sketching based
on the results. This time the assignment also focussed more on ergonomics and
a product that is made of textile instead of wood, metal or plastic.
After choosing and composing the best concept we began to work on the details
with as result a innovative but yet very solid tent prototype.
In this prototype the user will probably buy 1 part of the whole tent assembly; and when
the family grows add extra parts to this. The tent uses inflatable tubes in the edges to
hold te structure when up. This also simplifies the set-up of the tent.
